Tuberculosis is the most common cause of death for people living with HIV, yet with the right intervention is a curable disease.
There is an urgent need to address HIV and TB together. People living with both HIV and TB face a number of challenges. These include dual stigma and discrimination and limited access to treatment.
We are trying to address these issues through our programmes. The work we carry out includes increasing awareness of TB/HIV, TB detection, and treatment adherence support.
The Alliance contributes to global TB policy and is a member of the working group of the STOP TB partnership.
