We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead: Programmes to join us to lead and develop the Alliances Programmes Delivery for a two years fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will lead and be accountable for delivering a portfolio of quality programmes on time, to budget and which contribute the Alliance strategy.

It is an exciting time to join the International HIV/AIDS Alliance. The organisation has implemented a significant organisational change programme and in this role you will be fundamental to the continuing success of this programme, providing expertise which will enable the Alliance to fulfill its mission to work with communities through local, national and global action on HIV, health and human rights.

The role will:

  • Accountability for delivering a portfolio of quality programmes on time, to budget and which contribute to the Alliance strategy. Work collaboratively to maximise programme impact. Demonstrate appropriate technical/thematic input to programme delivery with a focus on one or more key areas including adolescents, SRHR, KPs, human rights and gender. Ensure that knowledge and learning from programmes is embedded in future Alliance programme design and advocacy initiatives.
  • Coach and support project based staff and consultants as determined by projects and contracts in the UK and overseas.
  • Apply a risk management/mitigation approach to programme delivery and ensure all donor compliance requirements and agreed targets for spend deliverables and impacts are met. Contribute to the Alliance programme design and income generation. Foster multiple donor relationships and ensure strong representation of the Alliance and its impact globally.
  • Contribute to the development of the Alliance culture.
