Lead: Programmes

Salary: £48,460 plus benefits of up to 16%

We are looking for a proven leader who can keep our programmes of ground breaking work with adolescents and young people across Africa delivering to the highest standards.  The Alliance has developed a highly regarded body of work under the ‘READY’ programme and we are looking for programme management maternity cover for 5 months.  The work is extremely high profile and we need an experienced programme manager to hit the ground running for the length of the contract.

This role is being advertised as a fixed term contract with full time working hours.  Please note that for the right candidate there would be scope to discuss flexibility on the working hours, if required.

It is an exciting time to join the International HIV/AIDS Alliance. The organisation has implemented a significant organisational change programme and in this role you will be fundamental to the continuing success of this programme, providing expertise which will enable the Alliance to fulfill its mission to work with communities through local, national and global action on HIV, health and human rights.

You are comfortable managing in a matrix management environment.

The role will:

• Involve providing leadership to a multidisciplinary consortium across southern Africa, being a focal point for our relationships with at least 3 donors (notably the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Comic Relief) on these grants and supporting the operational delivery of work across 7 countries alongside a dedicated team.
