Women and girls in Uganda speak up for right to HIV and SRHR services

In Uganda, stigma, discrimination and harmful social norms mean adolescent girls and young women, in their diversity, cannot easily access HIV and sexual and reproductive health services.

These photos were created through a collaboration between the Alliance and PhotoVoice, working with communities of LGBT people, people who use drugs and adolescent girls and young women in Uganda to enable them to confront the stigma and discrimination preventing them from accessing services.

The photographers are all from community-based organisations part of the PITCH programme, which strengthens their capacity to advocate for the rights to HIV and sexual and reproductive health services for people most affected by HIV.
